She's The Older Sister Of The Yandere Male Lead In A BL Novel - Chapter 11
Lisandro belatedly heard that Frey had collapsed and immediately rushed in.
It wasn’t that he was worried about Frey—he was worried because Yurenia was alone with him.
Anyway, his sister now knew that Lisandro no longer liked Frey.
There would be no misunderstandings if he spoke candidly.
This was a relief to him, but he just couldn’t leave his beloved sister alone in a room with Frey.
He left in the middle of training and barged into the clinic. Dr. Terry sweated heavily once again.
The doctor had been looking at a medical chart with concentration, when he turned his head in surprise at Lisandro’s entrance, flinching on his seat.
At the door, he saw Lisandro huffing, catching his breath.
Even before Dr. Terry finished speaking, Lisandro strode forward and pulled the curtain back.
And at the same time, his expression distorted violently.
“This is why I’m like this! Ugh!”
Not only were they holding hands tightly as they slept on the same bed, but their foreheads were even touching. At this, Lisandro felt like he wanted to breathe fire.
Fireworks kept popping in his eyes as he looked at Frey.
Lisandro glared at the two as they wouldn’t wake up even with his loud voice, then he hugged Yurenia and pried her away from Frey.
Yurenia was as light as a feather for Lisandro due to his sword training.
Rather, in that short moment, he was surprised at how light Yurenia was. Right then, he decided to feed her sister more.
Being jostled awake by her brother suddenly dragging her into his arms, Yurenia blinked slowly.
“…What’re you doing?”
Yurenia asked Lisandro with a hoarse voice, who hugged her tightly from behind.
“Hey, he’s a guy!”
“I know. And you’re a guy, too.”
“I’m younger than you!”
“He’s younger than me, too.”
Lisandro couldn’t stand it at all and kept shouting back, although it would be nice if he just shut his mouth.
Yurenia also yelled back, not wanting to lose, and at this, Lisandro flinched and let her out of his arms.
Yurenia stretched out and glanced at Lisandro.
She secretly admired Lisandro, who was growing rapidly. This pace was truly amazing.
A child at his age usually grew fast, but Lisandro’s growth spurt was insanely fast.
They were of similar heights now, enough that Lisandro could hug her like that.
There was still some baby fat in him, but his chubby cheeks were gradually disappearing.
Frey, who woke up the moment Yurenia was pried away from him, quietly looked at the twins.
Then, when Yurenia turned her head towards him, he skillfully closed his eyes again and pretended to sleep before she noticed him.
“Let’s go out first. Frey’s still sleeping.”
But just because of that suggestion, tears began to pool in Lisandro’s eyes.
Visibly flustered, Yurenia hurriedly grabbed both sides of Lisandro’s face and swept two thumbs over his eyelids.
“Why, why are you crying?”
“N-Noonim, you’re so— so mean!”
“I’m sorry. Don’t cry, hm? Why are you crying?”
Yurenia was particularly weak for Lisandro’s tears.
Knowing this, Lisandro cried even more pitifully.
“Y-You’re always with Frey!”
“You’re busy with swordsmanship training.”
“Today, too! You said you’ll watch me train!”
As though she just remembered, Yurenia smiled awkwardly.
She just couldn’t leave Frey when he was sick.
But apart from that, she felt apologetic because she didn’t keep her promise.
“Sorry. Frey’s sick, so…”
“N-Noonim is my family though!”
Yurenia felt even more sorry.
Just as he said, she was Lisandro’s family, but she seemed to have been paying more attention to Frey.
Even if it was a dream, she should have paid more attention to Lisandro.
Yurenia comforted the crying Lisandro.
“I’m sorry. Instead, I promise I’ll go watch your training for the whole month! And then we’ll eat dessert together after you train!”
Yurenia soothed him and patted his head. To her, Lisandro barely calmed down, but as Lisandro nodded, his lips twitched slightly before he pouted.
“If it’s like that, then…”
To be honest, if it were someone else, she would have just punched the guy, but because he was her younger brother, she didn’t hate Lisandro, even as he whined more and more.
Everything he did was cute.
These days, he didn’t show any behavior pointing to an obsessive desire to possess Frey.
And now that he had declared that he wouldn’t like Frey, she became even more proud of him.
Thanks to that, Yurenia was becoming more tolerant of Lisandro’s actions.
“Then let’s get out of here first. I’ll go take a shower so we can eat together. You didn’t eat yet, right?”
“Ah, what about Frey?”
“I’ll ask Dr. Terry to tell us once he wakes up.”
Lisandro grabbed Yurenia’s hand tightly and hurriedly pulled her out of the clinic before she could change her mind.
As he heard the two of them leaving, Frey slowly opened his eyes.
The calm dark gold irises were revealed as he looked out the door.
He was sure that he was only here for Yurenia, but recently because of his recurring dreams, he found himself thinking a lot about Lisandro as well.
Unknowingly, eerie madness tinged the golden eyes as he stared coldly at Lisandro’s tracks.
From outside, Yurenia could be seen sitting at a bay window, which was her favorite spot.
In Yurenia’s small, delicate hand was a book as always.
Her long hair was braided on both sides, and the light shining down upon her made her look sacred.
How dignified, as though she was pure white in his eyes.
“Hey! Are you listening?!”
Captivated, Frey had been staring at Yurenia as though he was possessed, but he slowly turned to Lisandro.
Unlike Frey, who was smiling brightly, Lisandro scowled.
“You didn’t hear, did you?”
Every time Frey answered so shamelessly, Lisandro would be at a loss for words.
Then, he turned his head towards where Frey’s attention seemed to be. And his gaze pointed to Yurenia.
Feeling Lisandro’s gaze on her, Yurenia turned and met his eyes.
He smiled and waved at her. It felt good enough for him to just see her.
Yurenia, who smiled calmly in return, opened the curtains.
“You ignored me.”
Frey laughed at Lisandro, who was frozen, but Lisandro’s face soon distorted as he yelled back.
Yurenia’s pleasant laughter flowed towards them, carried by the breeze.
As she laughed out loud, she rolled the curtains again and looked back at the two.
Now, she wasn’t as anxious as she used to be. She didn’t have to step in.
This was brought about by her just acting differently compared to the novel, so it was great for her.
As she closed her book, Yurenia shouted.
“What are you doing!”
“I won’t tell you!”
Yurenia immediately turned away again and opened her book, as though she really wasn’t curious.
Yurenia didn’t even glance at Lisandro, who started getting tearful.
Because of that, he quickly schooled his features knowing that she wouldn’t look at him again. Then, he shifted his gaze to Frey.
“…Anyway, the teacher said that if you keep training as you are, your physical condition is gonna get worse.”
“It’s okay. I’ll handle it on my own.”
It was worrying that Frey kept collapsing, but he himself just answered like it was nothing.
Even Lisandro sighed because he couldn’t force him to come to the training grounds anymore.
“Then do whatever you want. I’m going.”
Frey grabbed Lisandro’s wrist as he turned back without any hesitation.
“What do you want?”
It’s obvious that he was annoyed because he was being held back. Frey tilted his head to the side and asked.
“Where are you going?”
Was he picking a fight?
If he wanted to go to his sister, then he’d just go. Why did he have to be questioned?
Lisandro grimaced as he easily broke away from Frey’s hold.
As Frey let go of his wrist, there was a gentle smile on his lips as usual.
It was definitely a saccharine smile that seemed to melt, but it was somehow uncanny.
“Why are you going to Noona?”
The voice flowing out of his red lips was exceptionally refreshing, but the atmosphere he exuded was completely different.
“What. She’s my Noonim and I want to see her, so I’m going…”
Not realizing that he mumbled as though he was intimidated, Lisandro frowned because he couldn’t understand why he had to explain himself like this.
Frey touched his own chin and opened his lips.
Mimicking Lisandro’s words, Frey burst out into a bright smile.
It was definitely a pretty smile enough to draw a room’s attention, but Lisandro unknowingly stepped back.
Somehow, the air seemed warmer than usual.
A hot wind fluttered around Frey.
With hair resembling the night sky and golden irises that shone quietly, sharper than any bird of prey.
The tension in the air was palpable, and it made the hairs on the back of Lisandro’s neck stand.
Frey’s eyes turned to Lisandro, who seemed to be nervous.
Above Lisandro, there was an afterimage of a man holding a sword up high, over his head.
”Even if you’re family, I won’t let it slide.”
The moment that sword pierced swiftly into Yurenia’s heart, the afterimage was blown away by the wind, making it blurred.
It was a dream that Frey had three days ago.
In which Lisandro killed his sister with his own two hands.
It suffocated Frey, to the point that he couldn’t just brush it off as a dream anymore.
Without realizing it, he shed several streaks of tears. It had been hard to calm himself down.
Only Yurenia’s death was repeated, and the memory of it that made him more desperate than ever, caused him to have throbbing headaches.
He couldn’t even pull himself together for a while.
“…Is it a dream or is it the future?”
Fear and anger intertwined as he murmured quietly.
“What are you talking about?”
The hands that were clenched into fists were still small. Frey, who looked at Lisandro’s fists, retracted the spirit energy that had seeped out of him without him realizing it.
‘Right now, you’re like a little kitten.’
Lisandro in his nightmares and Lisandro in the present didn’t match either.
Frey decided to dismiss it as a simple dream. He would never kill Yurenia with his own hands. Never.
“…I-I’ll go now?”
As he could suddenly breathe easier, Lysandro slowed down.
Instead of saying, ‘I don’t care,’ Frey smiled to humor him.
“I think it’ll be fun, Lisandro.”
“…Wh-what’s wrong with you? You’re being scary!”
Of course, there was no answer to his question.
Frey was always this way. After saying something meaningful, he wouldn’t answer even if he was asked about it.
Even though he was picking a fight first, he would say something that Lisandro couldn’t understand and wouldn’t answer at all when asked what that meant.
In the past, Lisandro thought that Frey’s face and atmosphere were strange and mysterious, so he unconsciously wanted to have him.
There was a time when he wanted to lean on Frey, who always met him whenever his sister was busy reading.
However, he gave up. He was now just frustrated with Frey’s presence.
These days, the eerie eyes looking at him made him get goosebumps easily.
He even had a strange feeling that Frey could see through everything, and there were even times when Frey would look at him with both confusion and anger. But he didn’t know what this meant.
The answer might never come out of Frey’s lips.
“Are you going to just shut up about it again?”
At Frey’s lighthearted answer, Lisandro was left irritated. He rushed past Frey as he hit his own chest repeatedly in frustration.
Frey didn’t catch his wrist this time.
As Frey watched Lisandro’s retreating figure as he disappeared with a huff, the smile on his face disappeared.
At first glance, he looked like a doll devoid of human warmth.
Around him, the branches of the trees shook and cried in the wind around the child who did not act like a child.
Frey stood still. Then, after a while, he walked towards the opposite direction.
